To enable all of our swimmers to develop and be the best they can be and achieve their own personal goals whatever their level of ability both within swimming and their personal growth outside of swimming.
WELSHPOOL Sharks Swimming Club is now structured to offer the opportunity for all of its age groups and youth swimmers, to develop and participate in competitive swimming for as long as their commitment remains, to achieve a standard beyond that which the swimmers themselves believe to be possible.
We aim to be able to compete against clubs from a much larger urban area. The club has grown a strong young swimmer development ethos and offer
swimming programmes for all abilities taking young swimmers through our Swim Development programme on to County, Regional and in some cases–National Championships.
We also offer coaching for Para and Tri Swimmers developing programmes to suit all.
The club aims to grow a strong coaching team and to provide a safe, fun and friendly, but competitive environment to develop in.
The Club is run entirely by volunteers. We have a Committee which takes care of the administration side of the Club and regular voluntary commitment from qualified coaches supported by enthusiastic pool-side assistants provide training opportunities throughout the week.
We can always do with more help though as there are always plenty of tasks, big and small, dry-side and pool-side that always need doing … so why not get involved…?
There’s always plenty to do so if you want to help just let one of our volunteers know…
